About the Wellington Triathlon & Multisport Club
The Wellington Triathlon & Multisport Club had its beginnings in
the mid-1980's when triathlon and multisport were in their infancy.
From 1985 to now, the Wellington Triathlon & Multisport Club has
grown to include over 200 members some of whom represent New Zealand at
world-class level.
But the club does not exist solely for the accomplished athlete. On
the contrary, the strength of the Club has always been, and will
continue to be, the number of members who support and participate
regularly in all the local races.
What does the club do?
The
Wellington Triathlon and Multisport Club promotes triathlon and
multisport in the Wellington region by bringing together triathletes
and multisporters of all skills and abilities
To do this the club:
- organises and supports local races
- has club nights with guest speakers
- organises mentoring, coaching and group training sessions
- works with media outlets to create a higher profile of the sport in the community
- Liases with Triathlon NZ over club members concerns
As a club member what do you get?
- reduced entry fees for club, Triathlon New Zealand and some associated races, events and coaching sessions
- club newsletters
- access to club nights
- discounts at the club’s sponsors and sponsors of Triathlon New Zealand
- membership to TriNZ (the national triathlon body)
How do you stay informed with what is happening?
They
send out a weekly email about what’s coming up - races, club nights,
training sessions, race results and club member successes from around
the country. (It only takes two minutes to join)
To subscribe to the egroup, send an email to
wgtntriathlon-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
